Noor (ノール, Nōru) is the main protagonist in the series I Parry Everything.
Background[]
Noor was left an orphan at a young age with stories left by his Father telling him about ''Adventurers'', the parts of them being awesome and cool, that stuck with Noor for a long time.
Noor's primary reason for becoming an adventurer is to be of use to other people, and to help the weak who can not defend themselves.
Noor spent 14 years doing odd jobs and furiously training his 6 basic skills hoping to unlock a new flashier skill. However, while he could not learn new skills, Noor had failed to realize he's trained his 6 basic skills to superhuman levels that rival even the Six Sovereigns he failed to train under.
Despite this, he takes a job as an F-rank Adventurer (which is functionally a day laborer/intern position), excited to be considered as an Adventurer.
During one of these jobs, he encounters Lynne, who has been caught in a trap by her country's enemies, unable to use her magic and her Guards are quickly slaughtered by a summoned A-rank Minotaur creature.
Noor steps in using a fallen knight's sword and while he can't attack directly, his Parry skill is so powerful he ends up causing the beast to injure itself until one lucky parry actually beheads the beast.
Noor leaves before Lynne can thank him and wrongly thinks he still has a long way to go after struggling "against a weird cow," not fully understanding the caliber of monster he just defeated.
Appearance[]
A young man with brown hair and grey eyes. His body is muscular, which became strong enough to crush a mithril bow (which is considered one of the strongest material in their world) due to his daily training and physical labor as a low-ranking adventurer.
He is dressed in simple common clothing since he is from a humble background. He wears no armor over his clothing and has only the Black Blade gifted to him by the King, who also happens to be the father of Lynne.
Personality[]
Noor is a very kindhearted and a humble young man who simply wants to help others and become an adventurer.
His humility is so vast he happily takes the position of F-rank Adventurer (a role most scoff as that of a day laborer) happy just to have become an adventurer.
Due to his isolation for 14 years, Noor is lacking in social cues and common sense which keeps causing misunderstandings about him by a lot of people especially Lynne. As he never understood that his basic skills have become superhuman oddities, and keeps mistaking high level threats he fights for as "basic starter enemies" which leaves him constantly doubting his own skills and humbling himself despite his inhuman feats.
Relationships[]
Ines:[]
Ines is the Shield of the Kingdom whose job is to protect Princess Lynne. She is serious and a stickler for the rules of court etiquette, but respects Noor's openness despite his informality and has a lingering jealousy/resentment toward Noor due to her own Master seeming to have great respect for Noor in the past.
Lynne:[]
Princess Lynneberg Clays, a 14 year old noblewoman who he rescues from an A-rank Minotaur that was summoned to the dungeon's entry level by an enemy merchant's magical summoning ring. Lynne becomes his protégé/page/apprentice and traveling companion as she admires his modesty, strength, and innate noble personality.
Dragon of Calamity:[]
Unbeknownst to Noor, he is the official master of the Dragon of Calamity. His vast strength was able to beat up the Dragon of Calamity into submission.
Powers & Abilities[]
Noor's abilities were said to be average due to his limited access on basic skills, based on his point of view, as he trained extensively for fourteen years, unknowingly, his basic skills are way stronger than what they could have been, to the point that even rivaled the Six Sovereigns' abilities, and he's acquired skills that he's unaware as skills themselves.)
- Featherstep: A skill that slightly makes the user faster. As he trained this basic skill to superhuman levels, this skill upgraded to the point from being able to move faster to being able to negate air resistance which makes him able to move in a speed of light.
- Tiny Flame: Produces a small flame. It's handy for lighting fires. As he trained this basic skill to superhuman levels, this skill upgraded to the point from a small flame to a large fireball which astonishes Lynne. During the Phantom Gray Arc, he [Multicast] ten [Overcast] [Tiny Flame] and uses [Fusion Magic], a supreme skill by magicians, to combine these ten upgraded [Tiny Flame] to blast to smithereens the Phantom Gray, an Extreme Catastrophe-Class Monster, into ashes (but the Phantom Gray resurrected once again as it can only be defeated if a priest uses a [Purify] skill on it. Lynne was able to properly kill it by combining spells with the aid of [Purify] skill on it.) Unbeknownst to him, he acquired several skills in magic aspect that he was able to use [Overcast], [Fusion Magic], and use [Multicast] to multicast ten spells simultaneously surpassing the Mage Sovereign who can [Multicast] 9 spells simultaneously at the time.
- Double Casting: A skill where the user is able to use 2 skills concurrently.
- Low Heal: A low-level healing ability that allows the user to heal small wounds. This skill is enhanced to be able to heal deep wounds and fractured bones. This skill was upgraded to another level called the [Sacred Spirit], the height of priests that can only be obtained through honing one's mind and body with a saintly degree of dedication, as he was poisoned during his childhood by a highly lethal plant called the Dragon's Ruin. He managed to acquire this skill when he cast continuously [Low Heal] on his body through the night as he was determined to live. This skill also makes him resistant to most poisons, and he can cast this skill on other people too.
- Physical Enhancement: It enhances the users physical abilities, such as making them more sturdy. Aside from being strong already due to his training for 14 years, this skill also upgraded Noor's ability to the point that Noor is able to carry objects a thousand times heavier than him. This proves to be the case ,as he was able to wield the Black Blade, known for its heaviness, one-handed which not even the King of Clays, the Sovereign of Shield, or the Sovereign of Sword can do.
- Stone Throw: An ability that strengthens the strength of a thrown stone. As he trained this basic skill to superhuman levels, this skill has upgraded to the point of Noor being able throw stones at a target at the speed of light with enough power that it can pierce through orichalcum, adamantite and mithril, known as the strongest metals in their world.
- Parry: An ability to deflect incoming attacks from the enemy. Noor gained this ability when learning at Sword Training Facilities. After years of training, Noor is able to deflect at least a thousand swords in one go, to deflect the attacks of the Dragon of Calamity and its [Breath] known for its notoriety to destroy an entire continent in one attack.
- Poison Resistance: Since childhood, Noor has experimented on his body by consistently ingesting toxins from various plants, fungi, and venomous animals. Unintentionally, this has trained his body to develop resistance and immunity to poisons. He has now reached a point where his body can recover from the lethal miasma produced by a Black Death Dragon on its own, given enough time.
